THE MOVEMENT
How to perform
Set the machine so the knee lines up comfortably with the pivot and the pad sits above the heel.
Keep the hips pressed into the pad and brace the torso.
Curl the heels toward the glutes while keeping the knees in place.
Return slowly until the hamstrings are lengthened again.
IRONYOU / CORE
Core cues
Keep the torso or pelvis stable and match the range of motion between sides.
Keep the hips stable while curling the heel toward the body.
Control the return to a long hamstring position without letting the stack slam.
STAY SHARP
Common mistakes
Rotating or shifting the torso/pelvis to make the working side easier.
Using momentum instead of knee flexion.
Cutting the return short and losing the stretched position.
