CORE

IN DEVELOPMENT · IRONYOU IS PRE-LAUNCH

What weight should you lift next?

Core is being built to turn the training you record into a clear next decision—when there is enough context to make one.

TWO DIFFERENT QUESTIONS

A next-rank target is not a next-set recommendation.

The public Rank Calculator can show the weight needed for the next rank for a qualifying supported strength calculation. It does not decide what you should lift in your next set.

The calculator uses manually entered set data and preserves the entered repetitions.

CORE’S PLANNED DIRECTION

From performance to a next decision.

Core is being built to use supported same-exercise history and current-session performance, then explain whether the next step is to hold, add weight, add reps or review context.

  1. 01

    Previous work

Start with the performance that led here, rather than a generic number.

  2. 02

    What happened now

Read the current set alongside the session it belongs to.

  3. 03

    Context when it matters

Make room for the practical signals that can change a decision.

  4. 04

    One clear next move

Hold, add weight, add reps, or pause and review the context.

CONTEXT, NOT A MAGIC NUMBER

A recommendation should explain itself.

A useful recommendation should state the evidence and let the lifter understand the next decision rather than produce an unexplained number.

Core is being built to make room for relevant context—such as effort, recovery or pain—before changing a target. Those richer decisions are part of the planned Core direction.

AVAILABLE ON THE WEBSITE

Start with the question the calculator can answer today.

The Rank Calculator answers one specific question: what weight would reach the next IronYou rank for a qualifying supported strength set. It is a next-rank target, not a personalised session prescription.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What’s available now, and what’s being built?

Does IronYou currently tell me what weight to lift next?

The public website currently provides a next-rank target in the Rank Calculator. Core’s personalised next-set recommender is still being built.

Can the public calculator recommend reps?

No. It keeps the manually entered reps when calculating a strength next-rank target.
