IRONYOU PROGRESS
IN DEVELOPMENT · IRONYOU IS PRE-LAUNCH
Track Your Workout Progress Over Time.
Recording a workout is the beginning. IronYou is being built as an exercise progress tracker: compare performances across sessions, review what changed and understand the training history behind your progress.
THE QUESTIONS PROGRESS SHOULD ANSWER
Last Performance, Best Performance and Trend.
These answer different questions. Last performance shows what you did in the most recent recorded session. A personal best marks a strongest recorded result for a supported metric; it is not the same as your typical performance. A trend helps you review how the same exercise changes across multiple sessions.
Depending on the exercise and available records, progress views can include weight, volume or score trends, related personal records and completed-session details. Not every metric applies to every exercise.
The Workout Tracker records your exercises and sets. Workout History keeps previous sessions available; Progress helps you compare exercise performance over time.
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE
One Exercise, Compared Across Sessions.
These example records show the same Bench Press across three sessions. They illustrate how recent performance and longer-term history can answer different questions.
| Session | Recorded performance |
|---|---|
| Session 1 | 70 kg × 8 |
| Session 2 | 72.5 kg × 8 |
| Session 3 | 72.5 kg × 9 |
Recorded facts: The third session used the same weight as Session 2 and included one more repetition.
Interpretation: That is an improvement between those two sessions. Three illustrative records alone do not prove a lasting trend or explain why performance changed.
Illustrative example only. Actual progress views depend on the exercise, metric and workout history available.
FROM INDIVIDUAL LIFTS TO THE BIGGER PICTURE
Every Session Leaves a Mark.
Review exercise performance across trained areas, then revisit the achievements in your history. Muscle coverage describes training activity and supported performance changes — it does not measure muscle growth.
WHERE RANKS FIT
A Milestone Within a Longer Training History.
Strength Ranks place a supported performance on IronYou's Copper-to-IRON ladder. Workout Progress has a different role: it focuses on how exercise performance changes across recorded sessions.
Core can add contextual interpretation in supported analysis workflows; its broader workout-analysis experience is still developing. Body Progress is separate: it focuses on bodyweight measurements, trends and personal weight goals.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Progress beyond a completed workout.
What does an exercise progress tracker show?
IronYou's developing progress view brings together an exercise's last performance, best performance and recorded history. Available trend metrics depend on the exercise and the data recorded.
How is a personal best different from recent performance?
Recent performance shows what you did in a recent session. A personal best marks the strongest recorded result for a supported metric; it does not describe what you usually do.
Which progress statistics can IronYou show?
Depending on the exercise and available records, progress views can include weight, volume or score trends, related personal records and details from completed sessions.
How can I tell if I am getting stronger?
Compare the same exercise across several sessions. Look at the recorded sets and relevant trend together; one stronger or weaker workout alone may not establish a lasting change.
Is Workout Progress the same as Body Progress?
No. Workout Progress focuses on exercise performance and training history. Body Progress tracks bodyweight measurements, trends and personal weight goals.
